Hello folks,

I'm D. W. O'Boyle the writer and creator of UMBC. I will eventually write up a much more detailed post about this project as well as port over posts I made on Cohost about it. The short thing is, I originally envisioned this project living on Cohost. I figured it would be a good fit there for that community. Unfortunately, they announced today that they will be shutting down operations. I'm very sad about this. I needed a place to host this project though and while there are numerous other original fiction hosting sites including stuff like AO3 (this project is a sort of fan fiction I suppose), I'm not really familiar with any of them. I have used itch a whole lot and always thought it's blogging system would make a good home for a fiction writing project and welp, I guess I'll get to test that now. 

You can find the original UMBC cohost page here for the time being. I do plan on moving over all that content eventually for archival sake. 

Hope to see you all in the future when this project goes live.
