Week 10 Update
Hello folks,
No new build again this week. I'm working on getting in the tutorial system finished up and it's almost there. Then I'm going to add in the scoring system with a local leaderboard and that will be it, the game will be done! It's getting there.
For the tutorial system I decided to emulate the way some fighting games do it. Basically there is a list of different concepts and players can pick which one they want. They'll be taken to a screen that show some text describing the concept and then they have to either get to the exit or destroy the targets, whatever the goal of the tutorial is. All I have left is to write and implement the text.
One of the hardest things about getting these tutorials in was actually writing new music. haha. I wanted something simple that had a sort of "neutral" feel to it. Eventually I settled on something really basic, but it works. Then I had a major issue with getting it exported from famitracker for some reason. It was cutting off the last few bits. I had to add a whole new measure and then cut the audio. It was a huge pain in the ass. At least it's working now.
